Cops Storm Cannabis Factory After Tip Off
10:39 - 18 November 2009
A MUCH Hadham man is among three arrested after a cannabis factory was raided.

Police are appealing for information after the discovery in Saffron Walden, Essex, on Monday November 16.

Cops acting on a tip off stormed the site of a derelict house and found cannabis growing in a container, and in two rooms on the first floor of the house.

They removed 278 plants, a sample of which have been sent away to be tested, and various hydroponic equipment.

All remaining plants have been destroyed.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis. They are a 27-year-old man from Braintree, Essex, a 46-year-old man from Buntingford and a 28-year-old man from Much Hadham. The trio has been released on police bail pending further enquiries to March 16, next year.

* Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at Saffron Walden police station on 0300 333 4444 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
