TWELVE people were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences yesterday following a series of dawn raids in Hertford and elsewhere.
Cops launched the drug busts under the Misuse of Drugs Act at various locations including; North Road, Lawrence Close, Hamsworth Court, Tudor Way, The Ridgeway, Carriden Court, Edmunds Road in Hertford, Groom Road in Broxbourne, Warrensfield Close in Cheshunt, Bowes Road in New Southgate, London and The Old High Street in Folkestone, Kent.
Chief Inspector for East Herts, Jon Speed, said: "We understand that residents may have been disturbed by this morning's activity and may well feel concerned. I would like to reassure them that only a very small percentage of residents are committing criminal behaviour."
* Twelve people were arrested and are still in custody. They include: A man from Broxbourne aged 32, five men from Hertford aged 37, 36, 25, 26, 29.
Three women from Hertford aged 24, 29, 21 and a man from Cheshunt aged 36. Also arrested were a man from London aged 30 a woman from Kent aged 19.
