A "BOOMERANG" shaped UFO left a Waltham Cross couple startled last week as it flew over their home.
The sighting, reported on a UFO watchers' website, by an eyewitness known only as Ian B, took place at around 9pm on September 25.
Ian B wrote in witness statement: "Whilst sitting in my garden with my wife, I had cause to look up over my right shoulder. I thought I had heard a "dull humming noise" which was nothing like a plane, so I was not sure what I was expecting to see. It took my eyes a few seconds to adjust to the night sky but what I was able to make out was a boomerang shaped object. The reason why it was difficult for me to see was it appeared to be matching in colour with the night sky. I could make out the shape as being something very similar to the vulcan shaped bombers from years ago but without the front cockpit area and the tail area. Underneath this object were 6 dull lights, 3 down either side of the "wings". It seemed to be quite low as it was not as high in the sky as a plane. It disappeared over the roof of my house but I have no idea of height."
He added: "I do not know what I saw so remain open minded about it.
"I would like to know if anybody else saw anything."
Waltham Cross and the surrounding area has seen several UFO encounters in recent weeks, mainly orange lights in the sky, that have been put down to Chinese lantern decorations, but this is the first description of a boomerang shaped craft.
